A new Shabbat experience for Grades 2-5. Join Rabbi Josh, Rabbi Daniel, and our Youth Director, 
Nikki Feinberg as we Step Up to a new Shabbat experience! We'll sing, we'll pray, we'll dance, we'll dine, 
and, inspired by the Caring Community initiative, we'll benefit the TBE Ann Arbor Jewish communities 
through several social justice and community in-reach projects throughout the year. 

Tot Shabbat Service

Tot (0–5 year olds) Shabbat Services with Rabbi Whinston and Cantor Hayut
All of your favorite songs led by TBE’s tot team, Cantor Hayut and Rabbi Whinston.
Join us for macaroni and cheese, fish sticks, applesauce, and a salad bar immediately following 
the short service. Dinner is just $5 per person. Buy a punch card ahead of time for a discounted price.

Caring Community Comfort Food: 
Meals in Times of Illness, Loss, and Celebration
Sunday, January 7 | 2 pm (Caring Community Cooks)
Each month, volunteers will prepare meal components that will be frozen in the TBE kitchen. 
Volunteers are needed to purchase food (reimbursed by our Caring Community Fund), 
prepare meals, and make deliveries to congregants' homes as needed.

Back Door Food Pantry Benefit Concert
Monday, December 18 | 7:30 pm | TBE Sanctuary
Join Phoebe Gelzer-Govatos, David Ormai and Ashley Dyer, and their violin and viola students 
for a holiday concert to benefit the Back Door Food Pantry. While there is no admission fee, 
we encourage a donation to the Back Door Food Pantry–either monetary 
or in the form of goods the pantry can use. The concert will include Christmas carols, 
Hanukkah tunes, New Year and other holiday-themed songs.

Brotherhood Collects Donations for Alpha House Families
Brotherhood is accepting donations for household items that are given to families 
when they leave Alpha House. These items are part of a Blessing Basket provided to families 
who are moving into their own homes, and include essential household items like new dishes and glasses, 
new pots and pans, shower curtains, towels, cleaning supplies and paper products. 

Donations can be dropped off in the social hall when attending 
the Brotherhood Chanukah Latke Dinner 
on Friday, December 15 at 6:30 pm.

The MeshugaNutcracker! The Chanukah Musical in Theaters December 19
"The MeshugaNutcracker!" is a full-length musical comedy that features the sensibilities of the folklore 
of Chelm (a fictional town of fools) underscored by an invigorating Klezmer-ized orchestration 
of Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite," including original lyrics that celebrate Chanukah. Find out more here.

Faces of Faith VII
Sunday, January 14 | 4-6 pm | Zion Lutheran Church
One of the annual programs the Interfaith Round Table offers the community is a "face to face" 
experience with people from many different religious and spiritual backgrounds. 
This year, we have six presenters ready to talk about their traditions or beliefs. 
Come listen to and engage with a Hindu, an Interfaith minister, a Muslim, and Buddhist, a Jew and a Catholic. 

Limmud Michigan is looking for a few good presenters! 
Limmud Michigan, a celebration of Jewish learning, is accepting proposals for sessions 
at its upcoming event which will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Wayne State University.
