President Marv Wagner accepted, for Temple Beth Emeth Brotherhood, the 2007-2009 Jerome Siegel Award for Excellence in Men's-only Programming, from Men of Reform Judaism at the annual MRJ convention in New Orleans, June 24-28. Watch here for news about this and the convention.

Brotherhood recently made a donation to the TBE Library in memory of Harold Mark. Bernice made a donation back to Brotherhood. Here is the card we received from Bernice:
Temple Beth Emeth Brotherhood is an organization dedicated to nurturing men’s involvement in Temple life. Our goal is to assist our members to become better Jews and better men through increased participation in Temple and Brotherhood activities. Active involvement in our congregation and the community brings us together spiritually and socially. Brotherhood is dedicated to providing programming that is meaningful and relevant to our members.
For 2007-2008 we've scheduled a variety of activities including:
- Bi-weekly coffee corner (September through April)
- Raising and lowering the Sukkah
- Sponsoring the Chanukah Latke Dinner
- Monthly Limudim lecture series
- Monthly Men's Rap/Discussion Group
- Facilitating an annual Shabbat Service
- Annual Brotherhood Retreat
- Challah baking 101 class
- Photography class
- Detroit Shul Tours
- Summer and fall softball
- Used book sale
- Concert - Klezmer, classical, and much more.
- Sponsoring the annual Mitzvah Day Red Cross Blood Drive.
In addition, we support Temple programming as well as host social events.
