Generations After Yom HaShoah Service
Holocaust Memorial Day 2018
Wednesday, April 11, 2018, 7:30 p.m.

We inherit memories. Then, we make them our own.

In the first generation after the Holocaust, the survivors, who were often counseled to maintain silence,
started sharing their stories of suffering and survival.
They wanted their children – the second generation – to honor their memories and to retell their experiences.
Now the third generation has come of age, and is taking on the mantle of memory and meaning.

On Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m., Generations After, TBE’s group of Holocaust survivors and their descendants,
will lead its 15th Yom HaShoah service.
Our service will include narratives, poems and music from three generations of our Temple family.
Please join us in remembering those who were lost, in honoring those who survived to create new lives,
and in being inspired by our third generation’s passion in embracing their grandparents’ legacies.

Light refreshments will follow the service.
