TBE’s 2020-2021 Religious & Hebrew School Registration
Welcome to TBE’s 2020-2021 Religious & Hebrew School Registration
In past years, we have offered both online and paper registration options. This year, school registration will take place entirely online and will be combined with the membership renewal process. When you complete your TBE membership renewal, you will receive an email with the school registration link. You must complete your TBE membership renewal to gain access to the school registration link. If you complete the TBE membership renewal but do not receive the school registration email, please contact Sarah Davidson at firstname.lastname@example.org. The non-member school registration link is posted below.
Over the past few months, we have created a new scholarship application process. We have designed this for greater transparency, fairness, and communication. If you would like to apply for a scholarship for school tuition, please complete our new Scholarship Application Form and submit it to Melissa Sigmond at email@example.com. If you submit a scholarship application form, please do not complete the online school registration form. Please submit your scholarship application form as soon as possible. Applications received by June 30 (one month after the start of registration) will receive priority status. We will then review all the applications and be in touch regarding your scholarship request.. Applications received after June 30 will be reviewed individually as they are received.
If you have any questions about the School Registration process or what school will look like next fall, please be in touch.
Actual Cost vs. Member Supported Tuition
In our Jewish tradition, the responsibility to educate children rests not only on the parents but on the entire Jewish community. Our Temple Beth Emeth community takes this commitment seriously. Each year, a piece of your membership pledge directly supports the education of our youth. Religious & Hebrew School tuition covers only a portion of the actual cost of that endeavor. We are proud to be able to offer this shared-cost educational program.
As we all continue to do our best to plan for the unknown in this world of economic variability , we feel we have a responsibility to be more transparent about the actual costs of our core education program. To this end, we have added an explanation to our registration form. At the same time, we recognize that families may be in different financial circumstances this year. Therefore, we have chosen not to raise the member supported tuition level at this time, despite rising operating costs. If your family is able to do so, we would greatly appreciate any additional philanthropic donations. For further details about the actual cost vs member supported cost of tuition breakdown, please click here.
If you do not wish to become a member of Temple Beth Emeth, you can still sign up for our Religious & Hebrew school. The non-member tuition cost is double the member cost, so often membership plus member tuition will be less expensive.
